LSS Conference 2026

The Lithic Studies Society annual conference will be held this year in Warwick, at Hill Close Gardens.

These gardens preserve a rare part of Warwick’s history: a series of Victorian allotment and leisure gardens, saved by the local community and restored to their former glory. Our conference will be held in the visitor centre, where we will also have room for posters and displays. You will be able to explore the gardens during the lunch break.

We look forward to welcoming you for two days of fascinating talks, posters and displays related to the stone tools of the UK and beyond.

Ticket Options

We have a tiered pricing system for our in-person tickets to support those attendees who would otherwise not be able to afford to come. We ask that people choose the ticket which best suits their means. This system operates on an honesty basis and we will not be checking anyone's eligibility.

Tickets include a buffet lunch and tea, coffee and soft drinks during the breaks.

Standard: This is our normal ticket price and will apply to most people. Please select this ticket if you are employed or receive an adequate income, have some expendable income, and are able to meet your regular basic needs.

Low Income: This lower price ticket is for those who don't always manage to meet their basic needs, who are not employed or are underemployed, have very limited expendable income, and who may qualify for financial assistance.

Pay It Forwards: This ticket is for those people who are comfortably able to meet all their basic needs, have expendable income, and would like to help us support those less fortunate. Any purchases at this ticket cost will help to cover the reduction for those on lower income and allow the society to keep these events accessible to all during a time of rapidly rising costs.

Online Only: For non-LSS members unable to attend the event in person, we are offering a one-cost online only ticket. Members of the society will receive an email with a link to attend online for free. A few talks may not be available online on the day or subsequently due to copyright or publication concerns.
