Kids Easter HOP - Cookie Decorating Class
Kids Easter HOP - Cookie Decorating Class
Need help?
Hi there - come join me for a fun adult & child kids cookie decorating class in Little Falls, NJ! (Ages 6+)
In this 1-hour class, we'll cover the basics to sugar cookies (so – yes, it’s beginner friendly!), do some piping practice with royal icing, go step by step on how to decorate sugar cookies, and have a sweet time! Everything you'll need is provided in class along with a live in-person instructor – just bring a smile (and maybe an apron).
You'll leave class with a great understanding of the basics of sugar cookies plus a few cool techniques we'll cover in class! More details on refunds, things to bring, and FAQs are below - looking forward to having you with us.
About this Class
This class is for the adult and child duo. A fun time decorating some basic Easter themed sugar cookies with your little one.
We provide everything you will need from cookies, icing, sprinkles, and a box to take your awesome creations home in - we just need YOU! Each to-be-baker gets 3 cookies, a few icing colors, sprinkles and all the tools necessary to knock this cookie class out of the park! Everything is prepped right before class – so no baking or icing mixing required. Just decorate!
This class is on 3/23/24 and starts at 10:30am sharp so we can have enough time to decorate, and I can answer questions along the way.
This class is good for ages 6 and up, but if you'd like to let the really young kiddos in on the fun, purchase an add-on kit (more on that below)! The kits are great for kids at home, plus - we'll send you home with all the tools so can teach them yourself!
A Little About Me
I’ve been baking sugar cookies as a business since 2021 – and I’ve not put down a scribe since (don’t know what a scribe is? I’ll teach you in class!). My favorite cookies to decorate are for birthday parties – but I can do pretty much anything if icing’s involved. I love what I do – who wouldn’t love making cookies?! It’s the sweetest job in the world! I have classes throughout the year which highlight different themes so make sure to sign up for our newsletter so you can get in on the cookie action!
FAQ
Do I need to know how to bake?
Nope! No baking history required. We will have the cookies pre-made for you along with the icing already mixed and colored. Have a little decorating experience under your belt… er… apron? Come on too! I can help with questions on icing mixing and dough spread!
What will we learn in class?
You’ll learn what goes into preparing royal icing, the value of different icing consistencies – we’ll touch on tips and tricks to make your cookies look even better than they taste (and they taste good)! You’ll also learn different decorating techniques depending on the class theme such as marbling, outlining, wet-on-wet, brush embroidery, and painting. Or hey – go off script and make your own designs – it’s your class!
Things to Bring
Wondering what you need to bring to have a successful time decorating? Well – nothing’s required – but here’s the things we recommend if you’d like to elevate your experience!
• Bring an apron! Things can get messy when you’re workin’ with royal icing – so grab an apron (bonus points if it’s cute – I’ll definitely be asking where you got it).
• Bring your glasses! There’s a TV to display my live instruction to help you decorate, but if things get blurry far away, seeing glasses may be a great bet.
• Bring your phone! I love it when students take pictures throughout class – so bring a phone!
• Bring a good attitude! Cookies are fun, but they can be challenging! A good attitude makes all the difference.
What age is best for cookie classes?
Our classes are for almost any age! From youngsters to grandparents - come on in and have some cookie fun with us! This is an adult and child duo class geared towards ages 5+. If your child is too young to enjoy the in-person class, purchase an additional take-home kit! We'll send you the details, and you can teach your kids in the comfort of your own home.
What will I bring home?
By the end of the class, you will have created a set of gorgeous cookies ready to dry for 24 - 48 hours in their own box. I’ll send you an email with a sugar cookie and royal icing recipe, along with links to a list of the tools we used in class so that you can recreate these cookies at home. And of course, you’ll have new skills, memories, and fun!
Can I purchase an additional take-home kit?
Yes! Many parents or practicing cookiers purchase additional class kits to take home and re-do the classes. You can purchase an add-on kit during check-out. These class kits come with everything you'll use in class, so you can follow our step-by-step instructions from home! Cookie class DIY kits are created before your class, and you'll pick them up and take them with you after class. How long can a kit last? Depending on how you store your icing, your kits can last for a week or longer. Freezing cookies keep them fresh for a long time, but I recommend using your kit as soon as possible - ideally in the first week after you've taken it home. Cookies are heat sealed for freshness – but again, use it in under a week to make sure it tastes the best.
Can I sign up as a duo or as a group?
You can sign up either as a decorating duo or with a whole group. The more the merrier! We are limited to a total of 10 seats per class, so definitely sign-up ASAP!
Where are the classes located?
This class will be held at the home of Little Baked Miracles, the exact address will be provided at checkout.
I signed up for a class but can't make it?
:( We understand that life happens so that’s why we allow you to cancel up to 5 days before the class. You can always transfer your spot to a friend though (and what a nice friend you are). Any cancelation after the 5 days will be a class credit redeemable for up to one year from the credit issue date. Please read below for our Sick Policy.

Class Cancelation Policy
Classes may be canceled at the discretion of me, the event host. This rarely happens – but in that extremely rare event that it does, you’ll receive a 100% refund minus your ticket fees.
Classes with attendance below 6 will be canceled. Don’t be sad! You can either get a class credit for a future class (along with my apologies), or a full refund! I’ll let you know if your class has low attendance 5 days before the event is canceled so that you can bring a friend (hint hint) or find other plans for that day.
Sick Policy
Showing Symptoms Before 5 Days Out: If you’re sick prior to the 5-day refund cutoff, you can cancel for a full refund! And might we say thank you for not sharing. Showing Symptoms After 5-Days Out: For any sickness symptoms prior to your class’s start time but after the 5-day refund policy, please email us before your class’s start time, and we’ll give you a credit for the next class! You Don't Show Up or Email Prior To Class: If I do not hear from you before your class’s start time, and you do not show up for class, I won’t be able to offer you a refund or a credit even if you're sick. So please reach out before class if you’re feeling sick!
Weather Policy
Sometimes Jack Frost doesn’t play well with cookie class schedules, and Mother Nature seems to be takin’ notes. In the event of inclement weather, I’ll contact you with options – these may differ depending on the weather event but rest assured – we’ll figure something out!
Ticket Tailor Fees
Your ticket price includes your ticket fees; however, Ticket Tailor does not refund its fees. If you cancel your ticket and request a refund prior to the cancelation window expiring, I’ll happily give you a refund less the Ticket Tailor fee – since I don’t get this fee back either. Ticket Tailor keeps it regardless of whether you show up or cancel. I know – I hate it too!
Questions? I have answers (or I’ll make up some fun stories at least)! Reach out to me or check out some of my work on the following social media profiles (and hey – give me a like or follow – I’d love your support!). If you need to reach out directly, below is my email as well.
