We are so excited to welcome performers to audition for our upcoming production of Chitty Chitty Bang Bang!

Our auditions are designed to be fun, supportive and confidence-building, giving every child the opportunity to shine in a relaxed environment.

Each year we see so many children walk away extremely proud of their achievement and we want them all to feel that it is a great fun experience no matter the outcome.

Please ensure you book your child onto the correct audition time slot. You can purchase multiple tickets. It is also important that you prepare your child for the day and what to expect so please read through the details with them. Ensure you know what audition you want to select so you can choose the correct time slot upon booking.

Each Audition Type Explained:

Chorus Group Audition - 8.30-11.00am - For those that wish to be cast as our Chitty Chorus members: £11.00
We are looking to cast 15 children who show confidence and the ability to learn routines quickly. They must be able to sing and act and work well as a team. This year our group chorus cast will have a big part of our show (as much as the orphans cast in Annie and classmates in Matilda.) They will be involved in multiple scenes and 6 songs with the opportunity for some solo lines available too.

To apply for a group chorus role please book onto our morning audition workshop.

Children will learn a short song take part in simple choreography, and join in fun acting exercises as a group. No preparation needed just enthusiasm and a willingness to have a go! They will then be called back in groups of 10 to showcase what they have learnt. At no point will a child in this workshop setting be singled out on their own. There is the chance that the workshop leaders may see a potential for a principal role and if this is the case your child will be invited to return later that day for a 1-1 audition between 3-4pm. There will be no obligation to do this and it will be totally up to you and your child if you wish to attend.


Group Dance Audition - 3.00pm-5.30pm - for those who would like to be cast for a dance role.

This is a high-energy, dance-heavy production featuring a wide range of choreography styles. We are looking for confident, committed performers who enjoy movement and storytelling through dance. Ideally with prior experience in dance.

Successful applicants may be cast in one or more of the following dance groups:

The Dance Team:
Our featured dancers will lead choreography across the show adding energy and precision to each musical number.

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang – The Car:
Performers in this group will be skilled dancers who are able to use creative movement and physical theatre to bring the iconic flying car to life on stage.
This role requires imagination, teamwork, and strong spatial awareness with a contemporary style of dance technique.

The Snatchers:
The mysterious assistants to the child Cather, performed through non speaking contemporary and expressive movement. This group focuses on character driven choreography with a slightly darker, stylised feel.

Dance Roles:

Dancers cast in the above will not be able to be a speaking principal role. These movement roles are a huge role in themselves with multiple costume changes required.
