Who is it for?
All Year 1 staff who are new to Little Wandle or new to teaching Year 1. Please be sure to watch the Initial Training videos first.
What will we get out of it?
This session follows on from the Little Wandle core programme initial training and is an excellent opportunity to plan how to get started with your Year 1 teaching.
We will focus on:
- how to teach a daily phonics lesson
- how to organise and teach reading practice lessons
- how to use assessment effectively.
