LIVESTOCK MUSIC FESTIVAL
Livestock was born from the desire of local people to put on live music for their local community. Established in 2010 and growing out of now legendary street parties, the Livestock Music Festival aims to bring together talented bands from all over the country, local heroes, emerging talent and established artistes alike. The aim is to provide an outstanding community event, affordable and accessible to all whilst supporting musicians, artistes community groups and other local businesses.
MUSIC FROM THE BLACK BARN
Music from The Black Barn nights are on the second Saturday night every month. These nights aim to generate a live and ongoing music scene all year round, offering a wide range of acts and themed music nights aiming to offer something a bit different that you would not otherwise see in the local pub scene.
Music from The Black Barn has hosted some fantastic acts including Geno Washington and The Ram Jam Band, The City Funk Orchestra, California Screaming (an act with so much pedigree it is mind blowing) first class tribute acts like Coldplace, Re-Floyd, The Foo Fighterz and of course local favourites like The Gregory Gang, Bazooka Joe, Allergy and so many more.
PARK LIVE
Park Live was an idea born during the Covid lockdown. The aim was to somehow bring live music to the people at a time when gatherings were limited. The opportunity at Broomfield Park to put a band on the old bowling green with a decent sized audience under the 'Rule of Six' restrictions was impossible to pass up and has become a popular event since with the whole musical range being offered from Motown, to Reggae, Ska and Rock all making an appearance.
