Thank you for your expression of interest in the From Presence To Citizenship (FPTC) learning community. Beginning in 2014, a group of agencies in the Developmental Services sector came together to focus on a core principle: individuals with intellectual disabilities deserve, as we all do, the right to the lived experience of full citizenship in all areas of life including, housing, employment and recreation in regular settings alongside other diverse citizens. Starting in 2016, FPTC hosted a series of sold out annual learning exchanges in Toronto, where presenters and practitioners helped us to explore how these principles are turned into action across the province and beyond.
Recognizing that no two organizations or communities are the same in their composition, challenges, or evolution, the founding members of FPTC would like to establish a learning community of like-minded agencies and other individuals and organizations that want to work together in support of full citizenship for people with intellectual disabilities. We are hosting a webinar on January 27 so other agencies can learn more about From Presence To Citizenship, and to extend an invitation to join us in support of this ongoing journey to community inclusion. Our website is just getting started but you can learn more about FTPC at https://frompresencetocitizenship.wordpress.com/
The program for the webinar is:

Next Steps
If you have questions you'd like considered for the Q&A session, please send them to info@fptc.ca. Please note that due to time limitations, we will be grouping questions into themes, and we expect to pursue many of them in greater detail in future conversations. This online event will be recorded and we plan to share it on our website in the future. If you do not wish to appear in the recording, simply turn off the video feature (although the session is being presented in a webinar style, all participants will be able to see each other unless their video is turned off). Looking forward to seeing you on the 27th. Stay well. Jim Turner, Chair.
