What is the Living Bankside Academy Our Future Programme?

An award winning Summer programme aimed at young adults with an introduction to the business world and life skills.

The focus of this year's programme is on Sustainable Cities 

Living Bankside Academy brings together a group of South London based young adults from various backgrounds including those severely disadvantaged.

As part of the programme the young adults play a key role in:

- Organising a business networking event.

- Creating a short film on the theme

- Creating a Journey video

- Creating an invitation video

- Soft Launch of/Presenting the idea of a campaign, project etc.

Local, national and international businesses/organisations participate in the programme to provide training sessions/workshops in their fields of expertise, its relation to the theme and to help develop a number of key skills and fundamentals, including: Public Speaking, Teamwork, Negotiation, Project Management, Event Management, Presenting, Confidence, Copywriting, Scriptwriting, Producing, Filming, Directing, Research and much more.

A number of companies/organisations have supported the work of Living Bankside Academy including: Live Group, Landsec, Shakespeare's Globe, News UK, Giff Gaff, Bankside Hotel, Borough Market, Kings College London, US Embassy, FABRIX, Natwest, WPP, TP Bennett, Ernst Young (EY), JP Morgan, Chatham House, Virgin Media O2, Hilton London Bankside, Haleon, Tate Modern, LEGO, BBC, JTRE, Mindshare, GREY, Walworth Garden, PWC, Mindshare , The Foreign and Commonwealth Development office and many others

Living Bankside:

An award winning charitable organisation which has existed for over 30 years which seeks to create an exemplary neighbourhood in Bankside, Borough and SE1, which feels and looks inclusive for/of all.

Living Bankside's work covers a broad range of areas and includes (but not limited to) influencing regeneration, promoting and preserving the history and heritage of the neighbourhood, supporting older people through digital inclusion and advocacy, creating, improving and managing green spaces, improving the opportunities and life chances of young people and ensuring the health and wellbeing of all.
