A 2 day practical & interactive course suitable for all therapists involved in the rehab of both the athletic and non athletic population.
This clinically focussed course aims to equip the therapist with the skills to be able to diagnose and rehabilitate the following common lower limb tendinopathies:
After an overview of the tendon pain models the tutors will focus on the clinically applicable components . This will include a review of the common differential diagnoses for each and the 'not to be missed' presentations. Whilst the focus of the course will be on the use of exercise therapy, the emerging understanding related to the role of hormonal, metabolic and psychosocial factors will be reviewed. An update on the adjuncts available will be offered and taping skills will be practiced for the plantarfasciopathy section.
Each of the focussed tendinopathy sections will include a comprehensive review of the subjective, objective and management components, integrating current research and clinical experience. The afternoon sessions will be devoted to the practical skills assessment and rehabilitation skills with case scenarios used to develop your clinical reasoning.
N.B - Free parking for 20 cars is available. Lunch will NOT be provided and you are encouraged to bring a packed lunch for the 45 minute lunch break. An Asda is within 10 minutes walking distance.
