'The Economics of Happiness' takes us behind the food on our plates to uncover the hidden economics shaping our food system - and the consequences for our climate, biodiversity, health, farmers, and communities. 

The film challenges the assumption that industrial and global food systems are the best way to feed the world. Everywhere, communities are showing another way: rebuilding local food economies that strengthen livelihoods, restore ecosystems, and create healthier, resilient communities. At the heart of the film lies a crucial question: What if local, fresh, and health food is not the expensive choice - but the natural and affordable one?
