An on farm workshop for anyone looking to brush up their skills in tree identification. The first in a series and collaboration with Tom Ottaway, Forester, on woodland management at Lochhill Farm.
Join us at Lochhill this summer for a hands-on tree identification workshop, exploring the diverse species that make up our woodland and hedgerows. Whether you're a complete beginner or looking to sharpen your skills, you'll learn key features to look for: leaves, bark, buds and form - and come away more confident spotting native trees in the landscape.
We'll also be looking at basic tree management, and have opportunities to discuss woodland care and silviculture.
A great chance to slow down, get outdoors, and connect with the trees that shape our farmed and wild spaces.
Refreshments provided. Please note - Lochhill is a working farm. We have livestock, and the land here is hilly and uneven at times.
