SECRET CEREMONY PRESENTS: 'A Field In England' at St. Bride's Church

SECRET CEREMONY will bewitch and baffle you with a screening of Ben Wheatley's experimental folk-horror film A Field In England, accompanied by a sound bath, at the spectacular St Bride's Church on 30th September 2026.

For the film's surreal and dazzling landscape, screened in the baroque interior of a church designed by Sir Christopher Wren, there will also be a sonic ritual to open passage into the uncanny and prepare the room for what is about to unfold on screen. (20 min).

FILM SYNOPSIS

Amidst the bloodshed of the English Civil War, a band of soldiers dig for treasure in a desolate field. But what unfolds is a psychedelic nightmare as they battle for control amidst hallucinations, supernatural forces, and the brutality of war.

Starring Reece Shearsmith of The League of Gentlemen and Inside No. 9, and filmed in beautiful black-and-white, this is a period drama like you've never seen before.
