The Secret Valley: Mens Intensive Meditation Retreat

Led by Dayanatha and Tarapalita

In a world filled with turmoil, noise and distraction, what we need most is a mind that can experience life in a new and more real way; and we need a place which supports us to do that. Guhyaloka, The Secret Valley, in the Spanish mountains near Alicante, consists of acres of pine forest and peaks and troughs and is host to our very own retreat centre there. Off-grid and consisting of stone huts for accommodation, a shrine room and dining area the place is tranquil, simple and beautiful. The perfect conditions for an intensive meditation retreat. 

 As Guhyaloka usually only hosts ordination courses and solitaries,, this is a very rare opportunity for men within the wider Triratna community to be on retreat together in these extraordinary conditions. The retreat will be led by Dayanatha and Tarapalita, close friends and Mitra Convenors. Between them they have years of meditation retreat leading experience and will be cultivating a program and atmosphere which is conducive to deeper states of mind. This will include unguided meditation, meditation teaching, Buddhist ritual and silence, with time for valley walks in the afternoon. 

Furthermore, all donations will contribute to the Guhyaloka For The Ages fundraising campaign, which aims to ensure that these conditions are available to men for generations to come. 

This retreat is for men interested in taking their own meditation practice further in the perfect conditions of Guhyaloka and are interested in giving in some way to the Guhyaloka for ages campaign.
