We're offering the chance for 16-25 year olds with special educational needs or disabilities to join us at the home of the London Careers Festival, the City of London Corporation for a day of careers workshops, interview practice, and a chance to meet the professionals.

About the session

Discover the different roles involved in governing the Square Mile, central London's business district.  From education to open spaces, lawyers to surveyors, there are lots of roles available in a government organisation like the City of London Corporation.

The day will run from 10.30am until 2.30pm and will involve:

• Tour of the City of London Corporation buildings.
• Meet & greet with a selection of departments.
• Work skills activities.
• 1-to-1 mentoring or interview practice with City professionals.
• Lunch provided.

The session is being co-delivered by the AFK Charity creating opportunities for young people with disabilities.

About London Careers Festival

The London Careers Festival is a free annual event that aims to inspire young Londoners, from primary to post-16, to consider Square Mile connected careers, particularly those who experience barriers to those careers.

Booking places for your school - Please make the best estimate of the teacher and pupil tickets needed.  You will be allowed to make small increases or decreases to the number of tickets before the end of the autumn term.

Showing your ticket and confirming actual pupil numbers - You only need to show one QR code or booking confirmation and your lead teacher will be asked to confirm how many pupils are in attendance.

IMPORTANT – Photography and Filming Permissions

Please note that recording and photography will be taking place across all events and you must attain the correct permissions for your pupils. Attendance at the festival is acceptance of this requirement. Any individuals who cannot appear in promotional media must be managed by the school as festival staff will not be able to track this.
