About this event
In this session the members of the Project Skills Alliance will work with teams of students to showcase some typical project based interactive scenario’s that will be part of the new Project Skills GCSE.
Students will be challenged to
- work together,
- think creatively and
- solve challenges based on real work experiences.
The Project Skills Alliance is made up of representatives from mega project organisations such as Thales, Atkins and Jacobs as well as professional bodies like the Project and Skills Authority. Together with educators and the support of government departments they are looking to build new skills at GCSE level which link directly to the increasing demands of public and private project organisations helping transform our environment, society and the economy.
Before and after the session, you are welcome to browse the stalls at the Careers & Apprenticeships Expo.

This session is tailored to those in secondary phase, available to KS3-5.
About London Careers Festival
The London Careers Festival is a free annual event that aims to inspire young Londoners, from primary to post-16, to consider Square Mile connected careers, particularly those who experience barriers to those careers.
Booking places for your school - Please make the best estimate of the teacher and pupil tickets needed. You will be allowed to make small increases or decreases to the number of tickets before the end of the autumn term.
Showing your ticket and confirming actual pupil numbers - You only need to show one QR code or booking confirmation and your lead teacher will be asked to confirm how many pupils are in attendance.
IMPORTANT – Photography and Filming Permissions
Please note that recording and photography will be taking place across all events and you must attain the correct permissions for your pupils. Attendance at the festival is acceptance of this requirement. Any individuals who cannot appear in promotional media must be managed by the school as festival staff will not be able to track this.
