Drama Across the Curriculum: The 'Sister Dora' Project
Drama Across the Curriculum: The 'Sister Dora' Project
About This Event
Sister Dora is an innovative new project, taking place in schools and heritage sites (for example, the Old Operating Theatre, Southwark), and inspired by Dorothy Heathcote’s work in drama across the curriculum. This online session will include a practical demonstration of teaching strategies, and live 'role work' by student teachers from UCL.
Why this event is good to come to
The session will include the demonstration of a range of drama methods, including Mantle of the Expert; teacher-in-role; the design and use of teaching materials (objects, documents), and so on. There will be contributions by various people who have been involved in the project, including teaching staff, lecturers, and student teachers.
