Informing Drama practice through arts-based research

Thu 15 May 2025 7:00 PM - 8:00 PM BST Online, Zoom

About This Event

This event is a report on how arts-based research was used to explore the value of Drama in the secondary school curriculum. It will provide evidence in support of the value of Drama for those meetings with SLT who are looking to make budget cuts. It will show how verbatim, found poetry and performance poetry is capable of emancipating student voices in support of Drama.

Why this event is good to come to

The session will include invaluable insight into current arts-based research in classroom practice to inform curriculum planning, and offer support for the reflective practitioner and ammunition for those fighting to keep Drama in the whole school curriculum.
