Join Dr Clive Holmwood, PhD for Peter Slade, Actor, Teacher Therapist  on Thursday 8th October at 6.00-7.00pm on Zoom. This session will introduce people to one of the pioneers in drama education and dramatherapy, Peter Slade, who wrote the classic book Child Drama in 1954. We will pose the question: would any of his ideas work today?

Why this event is good to come to

This session is designed to support the presenter in the current book he is writing on the work and life of Peter Slade. You will be invited to be co-researchers with your thoughts and ideas contributing to the book. The presenter may hold a follow up to this event inviting people with a special interest in this area to contribute even further to the research.

Session Fees

Session fee is £7.50. Members of London Drama and National Drama £5.00. Teachers-in-Training/ECTs £2.

About the session leader

Dr Clive Holmwood PhD is a retired Associate Professor from the University of Derby. He is a dramatherapist drama and arts lecturer, author, academic and former actor. He has written and edited a number of books on dramatherapy and drama education and is particularly interested in the interconnections between drama education and dramatherapy. He is currently under contract with Intellect books to write the book, Peter Slade, Actor Teacher Therapist.
