At this year's annual Margaret Horn Debate, we'll tackle one of today’s most pressing questions: are modern parenting styles truly preparing children to navigate the challenges of an increasingly unpredictable world?

Join us to hear from our panel bringing diverse perspectives on the subject.

  • Mike Abbott is Director of Operations at LEYF and a parent of a SEND child.
  • Funmi Adeleyo is Nursery Manager at LEYF Gumboots in Dulwich.
  • Dr Ellie Lee is Professor of Family and Parenting Research and Director of the Centre for Parenting Culture Studies at the University of Kent.
  • Dr Jade Redfern is a clinical psychologist and parenting coach.
  • Sue Palmer is a former primary headteacher in Scotland, a literacy specialist, presenter, 'childhood campaigner' and author of 'Toxic Childhood'.

The event will be hosted by Anna Tyzack, renowned journalist from The Daily Telegraph.
