Description
Reparations - why what, how
Join us for a participatory conversation on reparations - help shape our Quaker response to our past.
Learn about the work of the reparations group, how you and your meeting and the Quakers of London are part of this.
We’ve heard about some of the history Quaker involvement in the transatlantic Slave Trade and colonialism.
Friends in Lancaster, Bristol, Glasgow and elsewhere are actively tracking down those aspects of our history as a people.
We hope that we will launch a London Group working on Reparations with part of its remit being to identify
Quakers’ involvement in London as the financial centre of the Slave Trade.
Our connections with slavery over history - and today.
What is known and what remains buried in FH Library records.
Introducing the BYM Reparations Working Group.
WE will meet in the George Fox Room.
