London Region Nordic Ski Club [LRNSC] invites you to enter this classic race on matched Swenor Alutech roller skis.  It's the fourth race we're running in the 2024 British Roller Ski Series:

• It will be run as a time trial over 24km [16 laps], 12km [8 laps] for juniors/novices or 6k for Under 14s/novices.
• Everyone will race on matched Swenor Alutech roller skis supplied by the organiser from the Rollerski Co.
• Start time: 1030. The circuit will be available for practice before the event.
• You can see the British Roller Ski Series rules on the BMCCSA website which include how points are scored for the Series, as well as the Series standings.

Advance entry only by 6pm on Friday 4 October.  No race entry on the day.

Equipment

Wearing eye protection and a safety helmet is mandatory for all participants.

You race on Swenor Alutech roller skis hired from the organiser at £8.00 per set.  For under 18's it will cost just £4.00 as  LRNSC is subsidising 50% of this cost.  No other roller skis are allowed.  

The majority of roller skis will be fitted with Prolink bindings and a limited number with SNS bindings - you confirm which you need during the entry process.

Any para nordic skiers who are unable to use the Alutech skis may use their own equipment.

You use your own boots, poles and protective gear.  If you have neither SNS nor Prolink-compatible boots, you may borrow these free of charge from LRNSC but please tell us your size if you need these.

Age categories & classes

[Age categories are determined by competitor's age on the 31 December 2023] 

• Veteran: over 40 (born 1983 or earlier) / Super Veteran: over 60 (born 1963 or earlier)
  Senior: over 18 (born 2005 or earlier)
  The Veteran, Super Veteran and Senior classes will race together in one group.
• Under 16 (born 2008 or 2009) and Under 18 (born 2006 or 2007)
  Under 16s and Under 18s will race together in one group. 
  
• Under 12 (born 2012 or later) Under 14 (born 2010 or 2011)
  Under 12s and Under 14s will race together in one group. 
• Novice status means you have only ever participated in a maximum of 2 roller ski races.
• Para Nordic – all ages. 
• Open class - all ages and identities and on any roller skis, and over any of the three specified distances. You will be given your race time and position, but there will be no prizes and no Series points

You have to confirm the age category & class you wish to race in during the entry process.

Unaffiliated [not a member of a club affiliated to one of the above organisations] 

• Senior - £25.00  [£17.00 race entry + £8.00 Alutech roller ski hire fee]
  
• Junior  - £14.00  [£10.00 race entry +  £4.00 subsidised roller ski hire fee]
