LRNSC Cambridge area roller skiing - Saturday 5 April

10.30-1230 Beginners coaching - classic technique 

The aim is to get you rolling safely and give you foundation from which you can develop your skiing.  At this session the focus will be on technique basics, focusing on balance, co-ordination and weight transfers.

You can book single sessions or for better value you can book 'any five sessions'.  You will need to hire equipment if you don't have your own.  

The group may include those who have done a previous roller ski session or have cross country skied on snow, as well as those with no previous experience.

10.30-12.30 Intermediates coaching - classic technique

The aim will be to help you ski better, more efficiently and with less (wasted) effort and coaching will be tailored to participants' needs. This is for competent roller skiers who want to refresh/refine/improve their skills.  

1300-1500 optional Busway roller ski tour

An informal, social/training ski for Club members & free of charge but please register so we know you're staying on for this or just coming for the tour.  

Skiers must be able to ski safely and competently without a Snowsport England coach present and have their own equipment. Direction, distance and a coffee stop are agreed by the participants.

Advance booking essential.  Booking will close at 6pm on Thursday 3/4 or when places have been filled.

Venue/meeting place: Longstanton Busway Park & Ride, Longstanton CB24 3DS - you can use the bus from Cambridge to get there.  See our venues page for more details.

Group size for coached sessions: maximum 8, minimum 2  [priority will be given to LRNSC members]

NB Please bring your own drink and food as the nearest shop is the Coop in Longstanton approx. 5 miles away.

COSTS:

When you book 'tuition only' remember to order equipment as well if you don't have your own.  Please bring your own gloves and cycle helmet or tell us if you don't have a helmet.  You will be asked which group [beginner or intermediate] you wish to join during the booking process].

LRNSC members - beginners or intermediates

• Any 5 sessions tuition only £65.00 in Cambridge area or west London*
• Single session tuition only £16.00.

*NB  If you choose these options you are booked in for this session but must confirm attendance for subsequent sessions for insurance purposes and so coaches know who will be coming.  

If you have already purchased any 5 sessions and have outstanding 'credits', you book your place by choosing the 'confirming attendance option'.

You can also use your session credits to go west London coaching if you wish.

• Guest one-off session tuition only £30.00
