* held over 9 weeks with a one-week half term break in February

Cost: £450(includes all materials and equipment); payable in two instalments:

• Registration Deposit: £100 (paid on enrolment)
• Balance: £350 (invoiced a month before start)

Whether you are a beginner, enthusiastic amateur or even an experienced gardener (the learning is never done!), our Introduction to Horticulture Short Course will introduce you to the basics of horticulture and is packed with useful learning.

You might be someone who:

• has just got your first garden or balcony or has had one for years and wants to start to learn more about it
• doesn't have a garden but would like to volunteer in a community garden or other space
• is just interested in the plants and gardens all around us in London.
  

Whatever is drawing you towards horticulture, the course will get you started on your journey this Spring/Summer!

The eight-week course comprises two four-week blocks with a February half-term break in the middle. It is an informal and friendly course with a focus on the practical application of useful horticultural knowledge. It is a classroom-based course with demonstrations and plenty of actual plants to illustrate the themes of each lesson.

The course will be led by our Director of Studies Dr Mima Taylor and is provisionally scheduled to take place on Wednesday evenings in the Spring Term 2027 in our convenient Station Hall classroom in Herne Hill. The classroom is moments from Herne Hill Station which is 10 mins direct train from central London.

Adults only; open to all levels.

Cost: £450 (includes all materials & equipment)

Please note that Station Hall is on the first floor and is accessed via an external metal staircase with no lift.
