Our opponents on this day are Colchester RFC. Established in 1925, a local GP and New Zealander persuaded his colleagues that the club should adopt the team colours of his native land, hence the All-Black strip club players still wear. The club took the Raven as its symbol, those being the birds depicted on top of the town hall in Colchester High Street.
