We are thrilled to announce the formation of a brand-new Specialty Lions Club — the Long Beach West Lions Club! This exciting revival honors the legacy of one of the original nine clubs that helped create the legendary Lions Drag Strip.

As a Specialty Club, we proudly join forces with the Lions Automobilia Foundation to preserve the rich history of the Drag Strip, promote the automotive sport, and inspire the next generation. Together, we’ll keep the tradition alive while educating youth and opening doors to careers and passions in Southern California’s vibrant car culture and motorsport industry.

This dream was sparked by Rick Lorenzen, Founder of the Lions Automobilia Foundation, whose vision was to re-establish the Long Beach West Lions Club and unite both the Lions Club and Foundation. His mission? To invest in pathways for young people to explore their love for cars, racing, and community service.
