Fireworks Extravaganza!

Remember, remember… the 9th of November. It's the time of year for gunpowder, treason and plot; and for fireworks, food and fun!

On Saturday 9th November, from 4.45pm, Long Crendon School PTA will hold its annual Fireworks Display on the school fields (map).

This year we've got a truly fabulous event planned for you! With more BANG! for your buck, thanks to sponsorship from Fisher German estate agents and Revere Homes we've splashed out on the award-winning Star Fireworks team (the same team behind TV's 'Big Brother Live Final' fireworks, no less).

And that's not all - to make it a night to remember for all the family there will be:

• Traditional fish and chips from Howe & Co
• Hot dogs and nachos (and veggie versions!) from Chilli Dogs
• Dutch pancakes, waffles with hot chocolate sauce from Lola
  
• A tuck shop with sweets and toffee apples 
• Tea and coffee from the baristas at Hetty's
• Light-up toys for kids (and adults!)
• A full bar selling warming mulled wine and local XT brewery beers

So tell your friends and family in Long Crendon, Thame and the surrounding areas to come along and join in the fun. 

Buy in advance for cheaper tickets!

Buy your tickets in advance at the discounted price of £5.50 per ticket, which will save you money and help you avoid the queues. A £1 transaction fee applies to cover our online ticket service costs. Children aged 3 and under go free. 

Closing date for advanced online ticket sales is at 8pm on Friday 9th Nov. After this time you will be able to buy on the gate at £6.50 per ticket. Children aged 3 and under go free. 

You can also purchase advance tickets at the School office.

Parking, dogs, sparklers and timings 

We aim to set off the fireworks at around 6pm, so don't miss them! Gates open at 4.45pm, so arrive early to settle in with a hot dog, a mulled wine and a great view!

Please do not bring sparklers. 

Parking is free on the roads surrounding the school. Disabled parking only on school grounds. We ask that you respect our neighbours and don't block any driveways!

Please don't bring your dog, even if they're used to fireworks. 

What if the weather's bad?

Check this website or our Facebook page on Saturday afternoon for any updates, but only very strong winds, blowing in the wrong direction, could potentially faze the STAR crew, so assume the event will go ahead - even if it's raining. Bring umbrellas, wrap up warm, and embrace our exciting November weather!

"Our flagship Building Community scheme launched in July 2019, raising money for Long Crendon School. The Thame office of Fisher German had previously supported local events in the village of Long Crendon. We were keen to continue and build on the support we offered the local community by considering ways the school and our business could work together. Within the first 6 weeks of the scheme launching Fisher German donated £2,000 to Long Crendon School and we have now been instructed on several sales with a potential donation pipeline in excess of £4,500." -- Fisher German

Cancellation, refunds, profits

We regret we can only offer refunds if the event is cancelled. STAR will be conducting another check of the conditions around Saturday lunchtime so please check back here if you're concerned it may be cancelled. If you purchased tickets online we'll email you if the event has to be cancelled. If you've bought tickets from the school, check the Facebook page or this website.  

All profits go to Long Crendon School PTA for purchasing educational supplies and resources for our children.
