Dead of Night Halloween Festival Longford

This year marks an exciting new chapter for Samhain in the Heartlands, as Longford and Westmeath come together to celebrate Samhain at its source — in the ancient landscapes, waterways, bogs and sacred hills of Ireland’s Hidden Heartlands.

The 2026 programme brings together a curated selection of events across both counties, with three flagship festivals at its heart: Dead of Night Festival in Longford Town, Féile na Samhna at Corlea Trackway, and Halloween in Westmeath, including An Tairseach at Uisneach.

From fire and folklore to music, storytelling, tradition and community, each event offers a unique way to experience the season and discover the stories rooted in these ancient landscapes.
