Longford Dead of Night Festival 2023 presents Samhain Town Family Fun at Connolly Barracks on Saturday, 28 and Sunday, 29 October
This is a ticketed event and there will be two sessions per day.
Tickets are priced at €5 per child (aged 2-18) and each ticket will also admit accompanying adults. Once in, all activities are free. There are some age restrictions, see below. There is no charge for children under age 2, and they won't require a ticket to enter.
Tickets may also be purchased for the Pumpkin Field, one pumpkin per €3 ticket, pumpkins may be decorated in our Arts and Crafts Tent after picking.
Session 1: 12noon to 2.30pm
Session 2: 3pm to 5.30pm
From 2.30pm to 3pm all those attending Session 1 will be asked to vacate the barracks to allow preparation for Session 2.
Entry on the Day
Please purchase your ticket in advance. There will be a limited number of tickets available to purchase on the gate, but unfortunately, electronic sales will not be available.
All arrivals will be checked in at our Ticket Desk where tickets must be shown.
All children must be accompanied by an adult, no groups of children/young people will be admitted without supervision.
Please note: No car parking will be available in Connolly Barracks for this event, please avail of nearby parking options instead. These include: Battery Road, Church Street, Longford County Council Offices on Great Water Street and other off-street car parking options in Longford Town.

Haunted House Experience |
15 min spook walk through the old army headquarters - who will you meet along the way?? |
Old Army HQ Building |
No age limit. Some mild jump scares and character interaction - (they wont hurt/touch you so make sure you don't touch them!) *This event is located in an old building, however every effort is being made to provide for wheelchair access. |
Halloween Craft |
A series of Halloween themed craft activities for young children and families: make masks for the procession; decorate pumpkins; make some tombstones! |
Marquee in the raised carpark behind Vintage Club Garages |

Pumpkin Patch |
Pick a pumpkin in the pumpkin patch (additional €3 each) and then decorate it in the arts and craft tent. |
Sick Horse Field |
All ages. *Access path to field is on a mild slope and may not be suitable for wheelchairs, caution advised. |
Entertainment Big Top |
Several shows through day: story telling, musical entertainment, circus act, puppet show, 'Harveen the Bubble Man'. |

*While many of our activities are accessible, please note that there are some areas that may not be suitable for certain wheelchairs or mobility aids. For example, the entrance to the pumpkin field has a slight slope, and the Haunted House Experience is located on the ground floor of an old building with some narrow corridors.
