Kanga Training at the Green
Kangatraining is a fun, safe postnatal workout designed especially for mums and their babies. The sessions focus on rebuilding core and pelvic floor strength, improving posture, and boosting overall fitness — all while bonding with your little one. Babies are comfortably worn in a carrier during class, so you can exercise hands-free and keep them close.
It’s suitable for mums once they’ve had their postnatal check-up and been cleared for exercise. Babies are welcome from around 6 weeks old (or whenever mum feels ready) right up until they’re happy being carried. Without a doubt, safety is the number one consideration when using a baby carrier. Many popular carriers, although not posing an immediate threat, are not optimally designed to support the natural development of a baby’s hips and spine. Babies should be worn in a carrier that ensures their legs are supported in an “M” position, with knees splayed out and facing inward towards the wearer. For our first session, a Sling Consultant will be joining us to ensure you and your baby are comfortable and correctly positioned.
If you already own a sling, please check with Aimie beforehand to confirm whether it is suitable for the class. Slings will also be available for you to borrow for the duration of the course if needed.
