🚨 Safeguarding Workshops – July to November 2026 🏅

Longford Sports Partnership is delighted to offer a range of Safeguarding 1 and Safeguarding 2 workshops between July and November 2026.

These essential workshops are designed to support those working with children and young people in sport, ensuring that every participant can enjoy sport in a safe, positive and inclusive environment.

🌟 Who should attend?

• Coaches
• Volunteers
• Children’s Officers
• Designated Liaison Persons (DLPs)
• Committee members and anyone working with children in sport

✅ Safeguarding 1 – Child Welfare & Protection Basic Awareness Course

• Mandatory for all coaches, volunteers and personnel working with children in sport
• Provides an introduction to child welfare and safeguarding best practice
• Certification awarded by Sport Ireland

✅ Safeguarding 2 – Club Children's Officer Workshop

• Required for Club Children's Officers
• Builds on Safeguarding 1 and outlines the responsibilities of the Club Children's Officer role
• Certification awarded by Sport Ireland
