Make your work accessible, workshop by Dr Mo Pietroni-Spenst
Sun 12 Nov 2023 10:30 AM - 1:30 PM
ARK, Albion Rd, Cliftonville, Margate, CT9 2HP
Description
With so many ways of working accessibly, it can be difficult to know how to begin making changes.
This workshop for performing artists and producers will be led by creative producer, access consultant, and researcher Dr Mo Pietroni-Spenst. It will explore how you can work more accessibly, from creation to delivery. Covering topics from project timelines and funding to hybrid working, sensory access issues, and including more diverse voices in your creative team, the session will offer resources for a range of scenarios. Mo will use her personal and professional experience in disabled-led and inclusive arts to share examples of companies re-thinking what accessibility means and challenging you to embed access more creatively.
This workshop will be interactive, with presentation, group tasks, and discussion to apply new ideas to your practice and solve your own creative conundrum.
ARK has a metal ramp for access. There are accessible toilets. Sitting for this event is flexible. The number of wheelchair and mobility aid user tickets is not limited. Book a "wheelchair and mobility aid user tickets" to help us plan.
