Emergence: Songs & Stories from the Threshold
Join me for an intimate evening of creativity and connection in the heart of the OM.
The passing of winter into spring at the point of the Vernal Equinox is a threshold moment, a transition from the seed into the shoot, from the unformed into the emergent, from the land of dreams into the dawn. This moment speaks to our entire world, here and now, balanced between darkness and light, letting go of the past and nurturing our hopes for a new future.
It also speaks to my journey as an artist and human. After quite some years in gestation, this will be my debut as a solo performer. I will be weaving together original songs, stories and poems that tell a personal but very universal story of spiritual unfolding and growing humanity. From curiosity, to fear, through illness, collapse and renewal, these are cycles of development that can bring us deeper into the understanding, compassion and joy of being human.
I invite you to meet me in the space between, to create a unique evening of shared experience that speaks to the emergence of new realities for us as individuals and as a collective.
I am so happy to share this moment of emergence with you.
About Lootie:
I have been a dancer, a theatre maker, a director, a dance movement psychotherapist, a singer and a yogi. Creativity has always been my companion on this journey.
Details:
The sharing will last approximately one hour. There will be a break with light refreshments, followed by a post-sharing discussion and finally some shared songs which you are invited to join in with. The evening will close by 9.00pm.
The OM:
The OM is a small, cosy space and seating will be a mixture of chairs and bolsters/cushions on the (heated!) floor. You are welcome to bring your own small camping chair or cushion. There is an upstairs toilet. Unfortunately, the OM is not currently accessible for wheelchair users.
