Collecting the Pieces: TREVISKER WARE

For the Council for British Archaeology's "Festival of Archaeology", Laura will be hosting TWO short talks on Cornish archaeology & history - each one linking to the 2026's festival theme of NATURE in some way! each talk will be repeated twice: once at 2-3pm, and again the same day at 7-8pm.

Tuesday 21st July:
Our second multi-disciplinary talk will explore Trevisker Ware; in all its glory - the apex at which materiality, culture and technology collide.
We will explore this proto-Cornish pottery, which is quite literally a central part of the fabric of Bronze Age material culture in Cornwall. We will discuss it through a variety of lenses, including Experimental Archaeology, as we learn about the experiments Laura did as part of her MSc thesis!
