Relatives

We would like to welcome you to a day in our Medicine in an historic space in Boscastle in beautiful Cornwall. On this day we will begin a series of teachings that have been passed to us both in a good way as pipe carriers from our well known Elders.

We will look at a basic Medicine Wheel and begin to understand about our connection with all that is.. We will look at Celtic Wheel as well as the Wheels of our teachers.

Come with us on a visit to the East of our Medicine Wheel as we invite the Medicine of the Eagle. As the light expands after Beltane, we share, sing and drum as we explore the East, the place of new beginnings in the first of our day workshops.

We look at the concept that we are all related in our connection with Mother Earth and all the beings upon her. We will sing and drum to honour her. Weather permitting we will sing outside as well as inside in circle.

We will take time in our day to invite you to look inside and ask your heart for it's gentle song.

We will offer flute and drum journeys and invite you connect with our medicine instruments. We have rattles, flutes and drums.

You will learn a little about the self care of grounding and receive a grounding oil roller blended for the event.

We will be open to being responsive as the day expands.

This work fuses all of our decades of training as we invite people to join us in ceremony. We are thrilled to have come home to each other.. come join the circle.. we are told "the space we create also feels like coming home". We experienced a fantastic response to our work in Cornwall last year so we are expanding our work as Gevelles.

Why not come along for a deeper dive into the whirlpool of life...

The team.

Elders Carole and Lorna both apprenticed under auspicious Medicine Elders and are Pipe Carriers.

Carole has been working in the Medicine for many decades. She has assisted on many women's circles, finally being passed the Pipe and leadership role by her late Elders. She now embraces the Grandmother role given to her by Eliana Harvey and Ashera. Carole carries on the spirit of their work passed on to Eliana from teacher Brook Medicine Eagle. (Their work  can be found in the oracle cards of Elder Wa-Na-Nee-Che the  "White Eagle Medicine Wheel ").

Having worked in the Boscastle Museum of Witchcraft Carole also has a deep understanding of the magic (and trauma) of the village we are honoured to be working in.

Lorna is honoured to carry Eagle Medicine passed on by her sibling who adopted her as Metis- the international teacher Elder Chief Sandy Dancing Two Eagle Spirit.

Lorna has worked in many settings, running 5 decades of circles. These have been in educational, Spiritual, mainstream and Mental Health Settings. Passed on from her late Aunt,  She has been connecting with her Scots Clans medicine with the Cailleach and the work of diving deep into the whirlpool and surviving the tough times. Lorna also carries Golden Eagle medicine from her homeland of Argyll. Taught in "Canada" by Sandy, she is a drum maker and keeper of many drums. Drums will be available to borrow on the day and for sale. Lorna is an ordained member of Refreshing Ministries, a group to celebrate and embrace diversity and inclusion in Spiritual settings.

Investment in you!

Low early bird starter price of £40 or £60 gift to Gevelles price. From Mayday 1st of May it is £50 starter or £60 gifting price.  We are keeping starter price low so there will be no concessions. If you can afford more, please consider helping our work as we do many community things for free and have stepped out in faith to do this work.

Bring... lunch for yourself, blanket and cushion, notebook and pen. Hand drum if you have one, for those who have not yet found their drum sibling, we will bring our drums to use.

We will bring hot drinks and some cake and biscuits. Please bring safe snacks/ drinks if you need these. We will have herbal teas.

Allergies and other self care

If you have allergy issues tell us in advance. We cannot guarantee an allergen free environment.   This is for food and drink but we also use oils and burn sage in our ceremonies so the attendees use all at their own risk. We work with hide drums. Booking is considered an acceptance of these conditions.

Self care and care of others

Whilst we have decades of trauma work experience, and the workshop will be gently run, this is not a disclosure space so please be careful what you share as you will not know the ability of others attending to hear difficult experiences. Please inform us if you are struggling on the day.

The Gevelles story

Elders Carole Tallboys and Lorna McTavish (was Coulson). We are two women who have been apprenticed to teachers in the Medicine way (Lakota and Metis). Our separate Elders ordained us as Pipe carriers. We are delighted to have been brought together to support each other now we are Elders in our own right. We have a heart for Plymouth and Cornwall, having connected and spent time together in ceremony at woman’s camps in Dorset, where we were known as the “Twins”.

We feel called to bring our Sacred Pipes together. We're both established Spiritual workers in our own right and our joint work is blossoming and we are stepping out in trust. As well as being Pipe carriers we are both drummers and song weavers. Carole is a "Grandmother taught in the Lakota way" and learnt shamanic healing at Shamanka. She is an established folk musician. Lorna, as adopted Metis, carries Eagle healing and drum making medicine from her Metis teacher Chief Sandy Dancing Two Eagle Spirit. We both carry Horse medicine - Carole White Horse Woman who Brings the Dream and Lorna  Black Fire Horse Woman. We work with horse - the power to enter the darkness and find the light.

Why not book us for an event, a life ceremony or come make a drum.
