An Evening with Jack Strange

Join us for an evening in conversation with author Jack Strange as we celebrate his latest queer rom-com 25 Days in Athens.

Hosted by local book reviewer Rich (@richreads), the discussion will dive into this witty summer romance's themes of self-discovery and second chances, as our protagonist Will heads to Athens to win back his soon to be married ex Ollie. However, on arrival he bumps into his childhood friend Sam who has gone from a lanky boy clutching his Pokemon cards... to a heartthrob (who is still into Pokemon).

While the evening will centre on this cheeky new release, we'll also explore his previous novel The Boyfriend Academy, a darkly political dystopian academia tale - discussing the contrasts and connections between the two book's themes, tones and approach to queer storytelling.

Expect an entertaining conversation with the chance to ask your own questions.

Author of 'Look Up, Handsome', which the New York Times called 'a cozy and emotional holiday romance', Jack Strange is a native writer to Wales. He writes romantic comedies with gay male leads, as well as dystopian dark academia as J S Strange.

When he isn't writing, he's using Instagram and TikTok too much. You might also find him reading tarot cards online and at festivals. Or you might see him opening Pokemon cards online.
