Be part of shaping London’s approach to tackling health inequalities, at this workshop hosted by the London Office of Technology and Innovation (LOTI), London local government's collaborative innovation team.

This is a rare opportunity to co-design interventions that can help address this important issue for our city.

About the Health Mission

This workshop forms part of London’s Health Mission - a 10 year commitment by London’s public sector leaders to make London the healthiest global city. Its aim is by 2035 to significantly close the gap in health inequalities in our city, utilising London's innovation and digital transformation opportunities.

While digital transformation and health literacy present important opportunities to make services more accessible and efficient, we recognise that addressing health inequalities requires a much broader, system-wide response.

Digital solutions are one piece of the puzzle—but only if they work for all Londoners and are supported by the right mix of services, infrastructure, community assets, and interventions.

The Health Mission exists to ensure we take a holistic approach to tackling health inequalities, understanding all the factors at play and the range of solutions needed to make a real difference.

It is for this reason that we’re inviting a diverse range of practitioners from local government’s social care, public health, planning, transport, and environment services as well as NHS and the wider health sector.

About the workshop

This workshop is part of a series of collaborative, hands-on sessions being held between February and June 2026.

Making London a healthier city needs all of us—local government, community organisations, residents, health services, innovators and others—to work together and find solutions that work.

We warmly invite frontline practitioners and leads from the NHS and wider health services to attend this in-person workshop where we'll work together to build a clear, shared picture of what needs to happen to help achieve this mission for London.

What to expect

Together, we'll identify what already exists—including services and practice that's working well. We'll uncover the real problems as experienced by you as practitioners and Londoners. And we'll explore opportunities and what we collectively can do about it.

These sessions will be high energy and designed for us to roll up our sleeves together and do the deep thinking that will make this work impactful.

Why your perspective matters

Health inequalities and outcomes are interconnected and shaped by far more than health services or the NHS—they're influenced by where we live, how we move around, the quality of our environment, and the opportunities available to us. That's why we're inviting professionals from different disciplines.

You'll bring subject matter knowledge and experience, whether that's how services actually work in practice, what residents are telling you, or where the system is getting stuck—we need to hear it. These sessions are designed to uncover systemic insights on areas directly involved with or that influence Londoner’s health outcomes.

The insights you share in these workshops will help us build a comprehensive picture of the different perspectives, challenges and opportunities across the system. This shared understanding will ultimately shape the approach we take for the Health Mission going forward.

We're grateful for your time and your willingness to contribute to making London healthier for everyone.
