In the face of extraordinary pressures on local government, councils have no choice but to innovate. They must find new solutions, adopt new ways of working and take on a more experimental approach. But how can they make that happen?

In this session, Eddie will cover 5 key habits councils need to practise in order to create a conducive environment for innovation. The session includes:

  • Why innovation is so important

  • What it means to have a more experimental culture

  • How to use the widest possible set of tools and methods to develop new solutions

  • How to involve all staff in change

  • What leadership teams need to do differently to help their staff innovate.

The session is ideal for those in leadership positions, transformation and digital teams, service directors and other staff that have a role in shaping how their organisation navigates change.
