Need help?
In the current fiscal climate, London’s local authorities face a persistent hurdle: tightly controlled budgets often prevent officers from exploring new technologies unless they are free at the point of use. This procurement barrier frequently stifles the adoption of digital tools that could otherwise transform service delivery.
We are pleased to invite you to an session on NDX:Try, a secure, time-limited cloud sandbox designed specifically for local government. NDX:Try allows councils to experiment with cutting-edge digital and AI services with no procurement, no upfront costs, and no vendor lock-in. Hear from Hackney Council and GDS on why they've developed this and how the Council is using it.
The platform currently hosts eight distinct scenarios, each featuring guided walk-throughs powered by AWS infrastructure:
- AI Meeting Transcription (Minute): Automate transcription and convert recordings into structured, actionable minutes;
- AI Chatbot Playground: Experiment with various models, guardrails, and knowledge bases while comparing cost and usability trade-offs;
- LocalGov Drupal: Explore the council-built, AI-enhanced website platform;
- Digital Planning Stack: A comprehensive look at the open-source planning journey (PlanX + BOPS + Digital Planning Register).
- Bespoke Sandbox: An empty cloud environment for your team to build and test custom solutions on AWS.
Why Attend?
This event is tailored for London Council officers who want to bridge the gap between interest and implementation. As this is a pilot phase, your participation and feedback are vital. We encourage you to use the tools, test their limits, and help us refine the platform to better serve the needs of the capital.
