Screening of the People's Emergency Briefing

📢 Loughton & Great Holm Parish Council, in partnership with Shenley Church End Parish Council and Denbigh School, invites you to a special community screening: The People’s Emergency Briefing #PEBuk. Watch the trailer here.

What’s happening with climate and nature, and what does it mean for everyday life in the UK?

Join us for a screening of the People’s Emergency Briefing - an eye-opening film bringing together nine leading UK scientists and experts with the latest evidence and why it matters for things like:

🌧️ Extreme weather
🍞 Food security
🏥 Health
💷 Cost of living
🌱 Nature loss

The film is based on the National Emergency Briefing in Westminster (featured by ITV, Channel 4 and The Times) with appearances from Chris Packham, Deborah Meaden, and a range of voices from across the UK.

Note: The film is recommended for those who are 16 and above

After the 45 minute film there will be a facilitated open discussion to capture reactions and identify what it means for our community and what we can do locally.

The event is free of charge but spaces are limited so please book a seat. Tea, coffee and biscuits included.

Bring a friend, neighbour or family member: everyone is welcome (noting the above age recommendation). We look forward to seeing you there.

Timings:

• 18:30 - arrive for refreshments and mingling
• 19:30 - introductions followed by 45 min film, 45 min discussion

Access: the entrance to the venue is through the gate to the left of the main school entrance
