Description
Jazz vocalist and songwriter Louise Dodds and pianist, composer and arranger Elchin Shirinov will be performing live at St Vincent's Chapel to celebrate the release of their new duo album, Two Hours After Midnight.
They will perform the album in full, and then there will be an opportunity to purchase the album and have copies signed by both Louise and Elchin.

Nominated for Best Vocalist at the Scottish Jazz Awards 2022, Louise Dodds has released two critically acclaimed albums – Fly (2013) and The Story Needs an Ending (2022). She has performed at the EFG London Jazz Festival, Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club, PizzaExpress Jazz Club, Edinburgh Jazz & Blues Festival and the Glasgow Jazz Festival as well as in Europe and the Middle East. In 2020 she opened for Norma Winstone MBE at the Edinburgh Jazz Festival.

Elchin Shirinov was featured in All About Jazz's December 2022 poll of the top 200 favourite living pianists in the world. As a leader he has released two albums - Maiden Tower (2017) and Waiting (2018). He was a member of the bassist Avishai Cohen’s trio from 2018-2022, during which time he recorded three albums and toured internationally at festivals and venues such as Blue Note, Ronnie Scott’s Jazz Club, Tokyo Jazz festival, Jazz a Vienne, Jazz in Marciac, Elbphilharmonie Hamburg and the Paris Jazz Festival.
