Andrew Bird regresa a México —por primera vez acompañado de The Love Academy Orchestra — en una noche que equilibra virtuosismo y sensibilidad con precisión milimétrica. Jazz, folk y melodías pop se entrelazan en una arquitectura sonora que respira y florece bajo la dirección orquestal, elevando cada matiz de The Mysterious Production of Eggs, álbum que celebra su vigésimo aniversario. La cereza del pastel: una ejecución íntegra del disco, coronada por una selección de piezas esenciales de su catálogo de casi tres décadas .

Acerca de Andrew Bird

Violinista, compositor, multiinstrumentista y narrador sonoro nominado al GRAMMY, Andrew Bird ha construido una obra singular desde 1997, con 18 álbumes publicados y presentaciones en escenarios icónicos como Carnegie Hall, la Ópera de Sídney, Walt Disney Concert Hall y Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Reconocido por su virtuosismo expansivo y su capacidad de hibridar géneros con elegancia intelectual, Bird ha extendido su práctica creativa hacia conferencias TED, composición para cine y televisión, y colaboraciones interdisciplinarias.

Con la participación de THE LOVE ACADEMY ORCHESTRA (LAO), organismo sinfónico de músicos multidisciplinarios, abocado a revelar la grandeza de la música a través de la fuerza orquestal. LAO articula repertorio clásico, reversiones y acompañamientos sinfónicos, con presencia dinámica en territorios diversos y devoción por arquitecturas singulares.Orquesta que acompañó a RyX el año pasado en el mismo teatro.

Te recomendamos llegar con antelación. Es una invitación a dejar atrás el bullicio cotidiano, sortear el tránsito del centro y permitirte entrar en una cadencia distinta, más contemplativa. Nuestro bar, con una cuidada selección de bebidas sin alcohol, estará abierto antes y después de la función: un espacio diseñado para despertar los sentidos, brindar con alguien significativo o prolongar ese resplandor sutil —el after glow— que permanece cuando la música ha dicho todo lo que las palabras no alcanzan.

Por respeto a la experiencia, no se permitirá el ingreso de bebidas al recinto.

On October 27, Teatro de la Ciudad becomes a threshold. We attend a concert and enter a carefully layered experience designed to be shared. With someone you love. With someone you are about to meet. With the kind of presence that music awakens.

Andrew Bird returns to Mexico —for the first time accompanied by a full orchestra— in an evening balancing virtuosity and sensitivity with refined precision. Jazz, folk, and pop melodies intertwine in a living sonic architecture shaped by orchestral direction, illuminating every nuance of The Mysterious Production of Eggs as it marks its 20th anniversary. The evening culminates in a full-album performance, followed by a curated selection from his nearly three-decade catalog.

Before the concert: intimate encounters, sensory activations, and thoughtfully designed spaces to refine perception—individually and collectively.
Afterwards: dialogue expands. New connections emerge, experiences extend, and a community gathers around a shared frequency. Love Academy curates the entire passage—from overture to resonance.

The historic Esperanza Iris Theatre, with its art nouveau grandeur and cultural gravitas, frames the night as a contemporary ritual. Attending with someone meaningful transforms the evening into memory; arriving open to meeting others turns it into possibility.

About Andrew Bird

GRAMMY-nominated violinist, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist Andrew Bird has built a singular body of work since 1997, releasing 18 albums and performing at iconic venues including Carnegie Hall, the Sydney Opera House, Walt Disney Concert Hall, and Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Celebrated for his expansive artistry and intellectual elegance, Bird’s creative practice spans TED Talks, film and television scoring, and interdisciplinary collaborations.

Symphonic Concert with THE LOVE ACADEMY ORCHESTRA
Featuring THE LOVE ACADEMY ORCHESTRA (LAO) — a symphonic organism of multidisciplinary musicians devoted to revealing music’s grandeur through orchestral force. LAO curates classical repertoire, reworks, and symphonic accompaniments, with a dynamic presence across diverse territories and a devotion to singular architectures. Orchestra that accompanied RyX last year in the same theatre.

We recommend arriving early. Consider it an invitation to leave behind the day’s noise, ease through downtown traffic, and enter a more contemplative rhythm. Our bar—featuring a refined, non-alcoholic selection—will be open before and after the performance: a space to awaken the senses, toast with someone meaningful, or linger in that subtle after glow that only music knows how to leave behind.

• We aim for each experience to be meaningful. Please note that all purchases are final. No refunds apply under any circumstance, including if you choose not to attend or if the event does not meet your personal expectations.
• Check your inbox and spam folder. Once your purchase is complete, you’ll receive an email with your tickets. We recommend taking a screenshot of the code to speed up your entry to the event.
• On the day of the event, we will send you an email with essential information to help you fully enjoy this experience.
• An official ID is required at the entrance. Entry will be denied if the name on the ID does not match the ticket.
• ENTRY IS PROHIBITED FOR CHILDREN UNDER 8, due to the moments of silence required during the experience.
• All minors must be under the supervision of an adult at all times.
• Minors will only be admitted if accompanied by an adult who can prove a family relationship.
• If there is no family relationship, a signed authorization letter from the parents or legal guardians must be sent to info@loveacademy.org
• Tickets are personal and non-transferable. Transfers may only be made starting seven (7) calendar days prior to the event date.

Its current program unfolds through a striking range of scenes: 360° performances at the Polyforum Siqueiros in Mexico City with the celebrated Mexican guitar duo Rodrigo y Gabriela; a symphonic evening at Teatro de la Ciudad with the American composer and multi-instrumentalist Andrew Bird; gatherings such as Festival Ikal at Ikal Restaurant in Tepoztlán from November 13–16; an eclipse encounter aboard catamarans facing Es Vedrà in Ibiza with the Spanish musician APE Chimba; and new musical convergences in Ibiza with DJ and producer Mose and artist FaceSoul. These are joined by appearances in contexts such as the Encuentro Nacional de Yoga with Colombian singer Manuela Mejía, as well as emerging expressions—from experiences on ice in New York to intimate sleepovers—that continue to broaden the vocabulary of the platform.
