Nature Ramble with People Parks for Nature - 1st August @ 1.30

Join People's Park for Nature for a nature ramble through Lovebrook in search of birds, butterflies and wild flowers...

Two years ago a group of local people gathered together to ask the question... 

'What if we owned our own park for nature?'

Not a continuous space but a mash up of spaces up and down Lewes District, with people signing up to take part or commit land based on a set of shared values. Eighteen months later the People's Park for Nature is a movement of over 30 non profit organisations and businesses, (including Lovebrook!) with over 100 members working collaboratively to restore nature, give people more access to it, and create opportunities to connect with it more deeply. 

Today the park includes more than 40 sites and 1,000 acres of land, hosting community initiatives, arts projects, and nature restoration activities. Biodiversity across the park increased by 7% last year adding to the hope that is fueling ever more interest.

In this talk and walk, People's Park for Nature co-founder Dylan Walker tells the story of the PPN movement followed by a leisurely nature ramble through Lovebrook Farm in search of birds, butterflies and wild flowers.
