The Long Man of Wilmington: Britain’s Stonehenge of the East
Could the Long Man of Wilmington be more than a giant chalk figure?
Join author and researcher Stuart Mason for a fascinating illustrated talk exploring the Long Man as a potential giant annual calendar. Discover remarkable solstice and equinox alignments, including the striking 4.44pm Autumn Equinox shadow phenomenon, and explore how the Sun, shadows and surrounding landscape may reveal a hidden astronomical story. Featuring images and discoveries from Stuart’s research and his book, The Long Man of Wilmington: Decoded – Britain’s Stonehenge of the East.
Book available for purchase: £20 (cash only).
