SCHEDULE
11:00-12:30 A WALK TO THE WATER & THE FOUR DIRECTIONS NATURE WALK

Begin with a stroll through the natural landscape of Sticks and Stone Farm and learn about the natural elements from a native perspective, along with the teachings of the Medicine Wheel and how they pertain to your life path. Learn about the four sacred medicinal plants (tobacco, sage, cedar, sweetgrass) and why they are used by the indigenous people for protection and a connection to the ancestors. Then, we will walk to the water for a symbolic cleansing ending at the labyrinth, symbolizing the traditional snake dance, which takes you through the journey of shedding the old skin and rebirthing into a new life.
12:30-12:45 BREAK
12:45-1:45 INDIGENOUS SOUND JOURNEY

Relax and unwind as you embark on a journey of indigenous healing through sound and vibration. In this program, we invite you to experience and immerse yourself in the healing sounds of indigenous instruments. First, we open the circle and share about what to expect during a soundscape ceremony. Then, we create a sacred circle with a group intention, offering (stone or plant), followed by guided breathwork. As you are invited to sit back or lie down in a comfortable position, you will journey with the ancient wisdom of the ancestors through the sounds of indigenous drums, rattles, flutes, chimes, and vocal toning, bringing your whole being into harmony and alignment.
1:45-2:15 SNACK BREAK
2:15-3:00 NATIVE CULTURAL PERFORMANCE & WORKSHOP

Join Champion Grass and Hoop Dancer Delwin Fiddler along with singer and indigenous performer Samora Free as they share traditional dances, contemporary and traditional songs, and stories of the Lakota people. Learn the real symbolism of the dances and the regalia worn for traditional ceremonies and gatherings (Pow Wow). The workshop encourages the audience to participate and learn the dances, always ending the performance with an invitation for the audience members to join in the round dance, symbolizing that we are all one family.
OPTIONAL PROGRAMS
3:30-5:30 HAND DRUM & RATTLE MAKING WORKSHOP ($200 deposit required by Oct 1st)
Join us for a powerful and sacred Native Drum and Rattle-Making Workshop, where you will create your own handcrafted instrument rooted in ancient tradition. The drum is often referred to as the heartbeat of Mother Earth, used in ceremonies and prayers to connect with spirit, ancestors, and the natural world. The rattle carries the energy of transformation and is used to clear space, call in guides, and awaken inner wisdom. In this immersive experience, you’ll not only craft a sacred tool with your own hands but also infuse it with your personal intentions and spirit. Creating your own drum or rattle is a deeply meaningful journey—a rite of passage that brings you into deeper harmony with yourself, the Earth, and the unseen realms.
