Free Open Evening hosted by Anat Ben-Israel and Carlien van Heel, Heads of Course 2027
The London School of Biodynamic Psychotherapy was established in 2000. It offers a 4-year UKCP and EABP accredited Diploma Course in Biodynamic Body Psychotherapy focusing on the Gerda Boyesen method, one of the first body oriented psychotherapeutic modalities in the UK. A Certificate in Biodynamic Massage can be gained during the 4 year course.
The training format is practical, experiential and process oriented, allowing for the theoretical teaching to be delivered in parallel to the development of professional skills and personal growth, encompassing the full breadth and diversity of this modality.
The Diploma Course will include:
personal skills, such as the nuances of affective touch, learning to palpate and differentiate tissue, developing a diagnostic eye for subtle changes and maintaining a stable therapeutic presence.
theoretical understanding - first in the biodynamic psychotherapeutic field including anatomy, physiology and neuroscience, then also in other psychological domains including, but not limited to: psychodynamic; behavioural; humanistic-relational; attachment theory; trauma-related therapies.
practical learning of biodynamic psychotherapeutic techniques and their applications.
a stable and safe learning environment, which invites students to experience their personal process as part of becoming a Biodynamic Psychotherapist, initiated by learning biodynamic psychotherapy methods and developing their individual path.
Methods taught include Biodynamic Massage techniques, Biodynamic Vegetotherapy, Biodynamic Psychotherapy, and general Psychotherapy.
