Positive Practice from Around the World

We would love welcome you to the first official LSCFT Positive Practice from Around the World Conference!

We recognise that within LSCFT we are a diverse workforce, with a wealth of experience from around the globe. We not only want to celebrate our internationally educated professionals but also utilise the knowledge that working in different localities brings. Embedding the learning, practice and teaching from other countries and cultures into our own to improve the care we provide to patients.

Throughout the day we will share in the experiences of those that work within LSCFT, with sessions being delivered by Medics, Nurses, Health Care Assistants, Occupational Therapists and Physiotherapists. Drawing on the positive practices from various locations around the world including: India, Nigeria, South Africa, Sri Lanka, Egypt and hopefully many more places. This is a great opportunity to engage with colleagues to diversify our daily practice and think more widely about the culture of care (NHSE, 2024).

We would like the event to be inclusive, displaying different countries and cultures and learning practices that we can then adopt to support our patients more effectively. Please feel free to bring your whole self to this event and join in with sharing your own experiences and knowledge with others to support growth in positive practice and diversity within LSCFT.
