We look forward to welcoming you to the LSE Power Conference 2026, which this year also celebrates the conference’s 10th anniversary. The theme for 2026 is Own Your Voice: Navigating a Noisy World.
Through keynote talks, interactive workshops, and thought-provoking discussions, we’ll explore what it means to use our voice with clarity, confidence and intention in an increasingly noisy and uncertain world. From influence and communication to self-doubt, leadership and the systems that shape whose voices are heard, the conference will offer both practical tools and fresh perspectives to help participants navigate complexity and lead with impact.
We’re delighted to welcome TEDx speaker author, Emmy and BAFTA-nominated producer Sam McAlister as this year’s keynote speaker. Sam has negotiated with everyone from Buckingham Palace to the White House, Tesla to Facebook, securing high-profile interviews including Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor, Prime Minister Trudeau, President Clinton, Elon Musk and Sheryl Sandberg.
Alongside Sam, the conference will feature a range of sessions exploring communication, influence, confidence and leadership in complex environments.

Exclusives include, most famously, that interview with Andrew Mountbatten-Windsor — but also Prime Minister Trudeau, President Clinton, Elon Musk and Sheryl Sandberg.
Sam’s book Scoops: Behind the Scenes of the BBC's Most Shocking Interviews was released in 2022. The book details the secrets of a former BBC producer who found her way to Buckingham Palace, giving a backstage pass to the most unforgettable journalism of our times.
Scoops was optioned for the Netflix film Scoop. Sam was played by Billie Piper with Gillian Anderson as Emily Maitlis. The film was released in April 2024 and topped the charts for Netflix films in the UK and across 15 countries. Sam is also the Executive Producer. Scoop was nominated for Outstanding Television Movie at the 2024 Emmys.
Sam advises private clients on media and negotiation issues, and has written articles in Tatler, Elle, Radio Times, Grazia, Daily Mail and the Independent, amongst others.
Sam was appointed as a Visiting Senior Fellow at LSE in 2024, teaching negotiation in the law faculty and is also a Visiting Associate at Lucy Cavendish College, University of Cambridge.
