FANCY 4 FLAP BOX with ARTHUR GREEN
FANCY 4 FLAP BOX with ARTHUR GREEN
Price
£35 + £10 materials fee = £45
An elegant variation on an archival four-flap box, this structure is made with handmade cover paper and requires minimal gluing. The box is fastened with a tongue and a slot which is laced through the cover and sits neatly within the fore-edge so it doesn’t abrade the book. The success of this box—like all boxes—relies on two main factors: accurate measuring and cutting, and good quality materials.
During this practical one-day workshop participants will make their own box, along with a blocked leather spine label. Please note: students must bring their own sample book for the workshop. This must be a minimum of 27mm thick and should be a small format: Everyman or Penguins are the ideal size.
