The Soul of a Horse
Autumn Lecture Tour November 2019
Lucy Rees, the world renowned equine ethologist has devoted a lifetime to studying wild living horses across the world. Through this work she has become one of the leading experts on horse behaviour and will be sharing her insightful and comprehensive findings during the course of the day. She is also an accomplished horse trainer and author.
She says: “The study of feral horse behaviour is the basis for understanding why domestic horses behave as they do and whether we are treating them appropriately. We have a lot to learn, not just about them but from them. Inside every domestic horse is a feral one with the same certainty about how life should be lived.”
Lecture day and demo with spectator places only.
Tea and coffee provided, bring your own lunch.
*Please save paper, no need to print out tickets*
Directions: From the A384 turn in to the Dartington Estate by St Mary’s church. Carry on past Schumacher then Dartington Dairy/Parsonage Farm on the left and then Landworks on the right. There will be a cricket pitch on your right, at the end of this turn right, immediately right again and then left. Turn immediately left again down the track (Foxhole car park is opposite the turning on your right). Drive past the School Farm greenhouses, follow the track around to the right and then around to the left. Continue on up the hill until you arrive at Sirona – come through the main gate and drive down to the yard. You can find us on google maps and see exactly where we are on satellite view, but the track is unmarked on the normal view so don’t follow google’s directions as it will take you to the wrong place.https://goo.gl/maps/SATojBvhuarFUTYbAFinally, if you do want to follow google maps etc, search for Parsonage Farms Totnes and then follow the directions above from there.
