MEGA Giant Flashmob in Leeds Corn Exchange

Hi guys! 🎄🎶

To end the festive season, we have planned a GIANT FLASHMOB at Leeds Corn Exchange on 20th December! 🎅✨

There will be a festive fair taking place in the Corn Exchange, with lots of unsuspecting shoppers for us to surprise! 😆

🎶 THE PLAN

📍 Leeds Corn Exchange
🕐 Arrival: 12:50pm
🎤 Start singing: 1:00pm

✨THE FLASHMOB 

The song will most likely be “It’s the Most Wonderful Time of the Year.”

I (Ellie) will start on the bottom floor, pretending to be a busker, while the rest of you will be scattered across the different floors and balconies, probably in groups of 2 or 3.

I'll sing sections 1 & 2 on my own, then you'll join in from wherever you're standing during section 3. As you start singing, gradually make your way towards the balcony railings or gather together on the bottom and main entrance floor. No rush! The idea is that people slowly realise what's happening as more voices join in. 🎶

We'll be visiting the Corn Exchange and working with them to figure out the best arrangement, so we'll send more details, photos and a general map closer to the time.

🎵 A little homework!

You can absolutely have your lyrics with you, but I’d really recommend learning section 3 off by heart so you can watch where you're walking when you start singing! 😂

After the flashmob, we'll gather together and continue with our festive set.

We’ll also be raising money for a charity chosen by the choir.

🎅 FESTIVE DRESS CODE 🎅

Get dressed in your best festive jumper!

Bring all the festive extras you like — tinsel, jingle bells, Christmas hats, etc. — but please wait until we start singing to put them on so we don't give the surprise away! 🤫😂

And for anyone who has been to a Corn Exchange gig before, you'll know...

There is NO sound quite like it. I AM SO EXCITED!!! 😭🎶🎄

Friends and family are, of course, very welcome to come and watch! ❤️

🎄 BUT WAIT... WE'RE NOT DONE! 🎄

After the Corn Exchange flashmob, we'll have a quick catch-up before walking into town together to either Briggate Little Birds Market or Leeds Christmas Market (both around a 5-minute walk away) for ANOTHER FLASHMOB! 🎶🎅

This will be a shorter set with fewer songs, but we'd absolutely love you to join us for both.

We thought we'd make the most of being in town and turn it into a fabulous, festive choir day! ❤️🎄
