From Setbacks to Setups Breakfast Salon

From Setbacks to Setups is an intimate, facilitated salon experience built around Amy Shoenthal's The Setback Cycle framework. Equal parts structured conversation and open exchange, each session brings together a curated group of women in the corporate world to talk honestly about pivots, career disruption, and what comes next. The format is intentionally small so that every woman in the room has space to speak, to be heard, and to leave with something she can actually use.

The concept grew out of two things - a book about setbacks and The Sunday Setup newsletter. The throughline is simple: the setback was never the full story. The setup is what you do next.

Each salon uses light prompts to shape the conversation and leaves plenty of room for attendees to genuinely connect. This isn't networking in the transactional sense. It's a room of accomplished women navigating real challenges in their careers who can help each other get from where they are to where they want to be.
